Titanium dioxide (TiO2), namely white pigment, is not only used to enrich and brighten colors due to its reflective property, but also provides protection against ultraviolet light. Crude titanium dioxide is produced by purification of titanium tetrachloride. This process is carried out in two ways: sulfate and chloride processes. TiO2 is present in two different crystalline structures: Anatase and Rutile. Depending on this difference, these two structures vary in terms of hardness, melting point, opacity, and resistance to weather conditions.
