What to consider in masterbatch selection?
• Any change in raw materials results in chromatic aberration. This is intense especially for light colors.
• The raw material used and the masterbatch carrier should be compatible.
• The maximum value for machine operating heat should be indicated.
• The information about hot runner usage on the production line should be provided.
• The shot duration should be indicated.
• If the finished product dimensions are variable, color matching should be performed based on the largest part.
• If the finished product is too detailed, these details should be indicated.
• The amount of masterbatch use should be at the recommended rate. Otherwise, some problems with shade variance and opacity arise.
• The result of the same color may differ when the production methods are modified.
• The thickness of a film affects opacity and color.
• If the finished product is to be exposed to sunlight, pigments with high light fastness should be used.
• It should be indicated whether food and RoHS compliance is required.
• The type of light to be used in product inspection should not be variable.
• The tensile information should be provided.
• The migration value should be indicated.
• When existing parameters in the process are changed, trial production should be carried out with the updated parameters.
• The nature of dosing - either volumetric or gravimetric weighing - changes the strength of the color. We carry out works by the gravimetric production method unless otherwise provided.
• In case of magnet usage on the production line, this information should be provided.
• Any earlier problems with dispersion should be indicated, if any.
